Robb Jones Jr attended Howell Cheney Tech after finding his passion for woodworking when he was 12 years old while assisting his father from time to time in his custom cabinet shop. It was known as Greystone Custom Woodworking out of Vernon, CT in the 80’s. Robb graduated from Howell Cheney Tech in 1996 the same year he achieved his Eagle Scout award, with 4 years of carpentry and blueprint reading experience.
Robb started his professional career at The Home Depot where he ran the Lumber Department and later the Millwork desk. After 10 years at Home Depot, Robb learned the true meaning of customer service and honed his understanding of doors and windows. Robb left Home Depot to join Alside Supply out of Berlin, CT. While at Alside for 6 years, Robb was afforded the experience of gaining knowledge of replacement windows inside and out; from the manufacturing process to the final in home install! In 2011 Robb was offered a job at EcoSmart, one of CT Home Energy Solutions contractors as production manager. In those 2 years he learned what Efficiency First truly meant!
Shortly after his second child was born Robb decided that he had all the customer service and experience needed to start his own home improvement company, and that’s what he did! Robb named it Greystone Home Services to honor his father for starting him on his way all those long years ago.
